Maureen Ursenbach Beecher’s grandparents left Utah in 1900 and 1910 to homestead in Alberta; Maureen grew up in Calgary but spent much of her adult life back in Utah. She grew up a Latter-day Saint at home in Canada and the US. She speaks with fondness of both prairie and mountain, farm, and city. She feels a connection with people around the world and claims as her nation the whole of humankind under God, the Father of us all.
