On Thursday, January 23, 2020, Jamie K. A. Smith will present the Truman G. Madsen Lecture on Eternal Man, 7:30 to 9:00 pm, at the Gordon B. Hinkley Assembly Hall at BYU. The Huntington Library in San Marino, California, is hosting a two-day conference on Joseph Smith’s First Vision, Friday and Saturday, January 24-25, 2020 (see full schedule here). There will be sessions throughout the day moderated by faculty members from various colleges, including BYU. Scholars will discuss the various accounts of the vision, its theological ramifications, and its place in history.
